Being Bold for God! »
Wyoming… Ii’s a land where the people are wonderful, independent, bold and value freedom. They also look out for one another, which is a rare thing in today’s society. It’s no surprise then that Karen Fettig, a member of the Worland Seventh-day Adventist Church and the founder of Beneath Our Wings (http://beneathourwings.com), felt called by God to take a bold step to raise awareness of human trafficking in Wyoming and beyond.
What is this bold step she’s taking? Well, Karen believes God is leading her to ride to stop human trafficking. By ride, I mean ride across the state of Wyoming on donkey/mule back, while having her horse trailer wrapped with an effective message for victims as well as traffickers following close by! This will involve a Saturday evening potluck and prayer service at the Cody rodeo grounds on June 29, then the ride will begin at the Montana/Wyoming border on June 30. Karen will pass through Cody and Ten Sleep for their 4th of July parades, then head to Casper for the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. She will conclude the ride in mid- to late July by raising awareness at Cheyenne Frontier Days.
The goal is to honor and glorify God and have this ride make a tremendous impact on human trafficking in Wyoming. Karen desires to have Wyoming become a place like no other, in that we value all children and victims and facilitate liberty and justice for all.
This is a monumental undertaking and we ask for your prayers and financial support as Karen rides to free human trafficking slaves and bring greater awareness to this horrific evil taking place in our country, in our state.
Beneath Our Wings is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your donations are tax deductable. Donations can be made online at http://beneathourwings.com/donate.
